Het warme palet met subtiele blauwe accenten zorgt voor energie en balans, terwijl details zoals het HBA-logo en een subtiele verwijzing naar Ableton het verhaal van de organisatie versterken. Een ontwerp dat niet alleen de ruimte vult, maar de identiteit van de opdrachtgever zichtbaar maakt. Authenticity - 2025 (spray paint on wall) This ar Authenticity - 2025 (spray paint on wall) This artwork is about appreciating the beautiful, authentic side of yourself. The woman symbolizes the captivated, critical side of ourselves, and the cockatiel (which I’ll be painting next year) symbolizes our soft, friendly core. This core needs to be able to fly free, and is perfect just the way it is. The world would be a much more beautiful place if we could all let go of our critical selves a little more. Deep down, we all know that you are at your most beautiful when you live with passion and authenticity. Not beautiful, big, amazing, or better than others to fit the image others have to believe. Be weird, non-conforming, too much, too little, of whatever others think, it doesn’t matter, as long as you’re YOU. ❤️ I am so incredibly grateful. I achieved a huge goal of mine: “painting my first mural on an apartment building,” just in time as a teenager!! I want to thank all the residents of Stan Kentonhof for the compliments, coffee, and cookies 🥹💗. I want to thank Rob for his help with the keys. Thank you @mos_germany @int_meetingofstyles this has been the craziest experience yet. I met so many inspirations there. There were big, and I mean BIG artists there. I felt so young hahahaha. It was a blessing though! I feel truly blessed that they picked me for their line-up :) I danced, I laughed, I painted, and I yapped with a lot of artists lol. When I recently heard her song "Tetris" again, I got such a huge rush. I just knew I wanted to try again. So I created a mural based on her song. The song is about escapism through playing Tetris. The piece is approximately 7 by 6 meters. I had the opportunity to create it in a large warehouse on the lineup of the Meeting of Styles Malmö festival. What an experience! "Proof we Love" (2025) - Acrylic on paper Proof W "Proof we Love" (2025) - Acrylic on paper Proof We Love is a series about the love we feel for others, and the love that lives within ourselves. I started this series out of a fascination for how much pain a person can feel through loss, no matter how raw and heavy it is, and yet still retain a warm, loving core. That's why I interviewed sixteen people who have lost someone. I asked them not only to share their story, but also to choose an object that symbolizes that person. An object that immediately evokes a connection for them. I made a painting of each object. What touched me is that the love they feel in that object is almost tangible, while to an outsider it just seems like an object. It shows us how much love there is around us that we don't see. And that's a beautiful fact that we can all enjoy. Love is everywhere, sometimes you just don't have the right eyes to see it 💗 Proof We Love is een serie over liefde die we voelen voor anderen, en liefde die in onszelf leeft. Ik begon deze serie vanuit een fascinatie voor hoeveel pijn een mens kan voelen door gemis, hoe rauw en zwaar dat ook is, en toch een warme, liefdevolle kern kan behouden. Daarom interviewde ik zestien mensen die iemand zijn verloren. Ik vroeg hen niet alleen om hun verhaal te delen, maar ook om een voorwerp te kiezen dat symbool staat voor die persoon. Een voorwerp dat voor hen direct de verbinding oproept. Van elk voorwerp maakte ik een schilderij. Wat me raakte, is dat de liefde die zij voelen in dat object bijna tastbaar is, terwijl het voor een buitenstaander gewoon een voorwerp lijkt. Het laat ons zien hoeveel liefde er om ons heen is die we niet zien. En dat dat een mooi feitje is waarvan we allemaal kunnen genieten. Liefde is overal, soms heb je alleen niet de juiste ogen om het te kunnen zien 💗 Ik ben iedereen die aan dit project heeft meegeholpen zo ontzettend dankbaar. Dit heeft me zoveel goeds gedaan, en ik hoop anderen ook. 'Are you hungry yet?' (2025) - mixed media on pape 'Are you hungry yet?' (2025) - mixed media on paper I created this piece as part of my admission assignment for the Illustration program at @dekunstvanhku. The theme was News as a Consumer Good, a topic that inherently carries conflict, both socially and visually. This illustration is a critical reflection on how news is consumed and exploited in modern society, often treated as a product rather than a tool for truth-seeking. This commercialization of information is a hallmark of capitalism, where media is shaped by economic interests rather than journalistic integrity. My work specifically critiques influential figures such as Elon Musk, who control media platforms and, in turn, shape public discourse. I also incorporated a reference to George Orwell’s 1984: the phrase Big Brother is watching you symbolizes increasing surveillance and censorship on social media. A current example of this is the transformation of platforms like X (formerly Twitter), where hate speech is no longer properly moderated, while terms like cisgender are actively censored. This selective regulation and restriction of free speech on digital platforms remind me of the early stages of a totalitarian system, which is why I chose to reference Big Brother in this piece. To visually represent conflict and tension, I used bold color contrasts and expressive lines. The combination of markers, colored pencils, and fineliners creates a layered effect. The markers provide strong, vibrant color, while the colored pencils add texture and depth. With this piece, I aim not only to critique the current consumerist media landscape but also to provoke thought: Who decides what we see, and what does that mean for our freedom?
